Strawberry Sorbet

Super Simple Sunday!! Strawberry Sorbet!
Without an ice cream maker.

1 lb fresh strawberries (washed and hulled)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup lemon juice

Pinch of salt -splash of vodka( optional- if you only take our sorbet 15 minutes before serving since it will freeze harder without the vodka)
In a medium saucepan over medium heat combine the water and sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stir frequently until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cook completely.
2. Put strawberries in a food processor. Pulse till they are still slightly chunky( like me:)). Turn processor on and slowly add cooled syrup then water, lemon juice, salt and vodka. Process till smooth
3. Pour mixture into a 9” metal cake pan. Place in freezer. Every 30 minutes remove sorbet from the freezer and stir with a fork to break it up. Smash any large chunks. Smooth out and return to the freezer. Repeat this process till it is completely frozen.
4. Serve!
