Homemade Pasta
Super Simple Sunday:
If I can I make homemade pasta to go with this. It really makes quite a difference. Of course some of us neither have the time or the counter space to make this dream come true, it will be yummy with dry pasta too.
I serve this as abase for many dishes. Top with Blackened Salmon, Paneed chicken, throw in leftover chicken, bacon, ham or veggies.
Ingredients
24 oz Dry or homemade fettuccine noodles
1 cup of Butter
3/4 pint Heavy Cream
Salt & Pepper to taste
Garlic powder to taste
3/4 cup grated Romano Cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add fettuccini and cook Pasta till Al Dente ( for dry 8-10 minutes/ fresh 2-3 minutes)
2. In a large saucepan gently heat cream over low heat. Add butter to cream and melt. Add salt, pepper and garlic powder.
3. Increase heat to medium and add cheese until melted. The sauce should thicken.
4. When sauce has thickened add cooked pasta. Toss till thoroughly coated. Serve immediately.
