Satsuma Spice Toddy

Now that the weather has finally turned cool, it is time to use South Louisiana’s Fall harvest to make cocktails that warm you up.

2 tablespoons of local honey
1 cup of hot water
6 tablespoons of bourbon
1 satsuma peel
1 cinnamon stick

Stir honey and water in a 2 cup mixing glass or pitcher until the honey dissolves. Add 6 tablespoons of your favorite bourbon and mix. Pour the cocktail into a rocks glass. Twist the satsuma peel and add to the glass. Give the drink one last stir with a cinnamon stick leaving it in when done. Sip and enjoy!
